This is a Beckman & Whitley A31H123 rotating mirror assembly designed for use in high speed framing cameras such as the 189, 189A, and 189B. The top speed of 8,000 rps (480,000 rpm) can probably be achieved using compressed air only, rather than more expensive helium drive. Mirror is single-sided with a surface measuring 0.625" x 1.25", and in pristine condition. Mirror assembly body is 2.375" in diameter. Note that this mirror must be used horizontally to maintain the proper level in the oil reservoir. Variable phase sync output may be adjusted mechanically and connects to synchronization electronics using a standard Microdot connector.
