This is an Avtech AVR-5A-C pulse generator with calibration sheet and operating instructions.

The AVR-5A-C pulse generator provides up to 500 volts output with rise times of 15 nsec. Output amplitude is continuously variable from 0 to 500 volts into 50 ohms via a one turn pot control. The output pulse width is continuously variable from 0.1 μsec to 5 μsec also via a pot control. Maximum allowable pulse width is 5 μsec at a pulse repetition frequency of up to 2 kHz, while at 10 KHz the maximum allowable pulse width is reduced to <1 μsec. Pulse repetition frequency is variable from 0.1 Hz to 10 kHz using the internal clock oscillator which is controlled by a front panel one turn control and a three position range switch. A delay control and sync output is provided for scope triggering purposes. The unit can also be triggered externally using a 0.2 μsec TTL level pulse.

The unit is protected by an automatic overload protective circuit. If the unit is overloaded (by operating at an exceedingly high duty cycle or by operating into a short circuit), the protective circuit will turn the output of the instrument OFF and turn the overload indicator light ON.
